Pantherines
Pantherine Humans:

The only known instance of the Travellers changing several (the original group numbered near 50) people in the same manner. Not only was the design good for slave labor that the Travellers need at the time, cat-people are common enough in human fiction that the Travellers thought it was a good joke. Outwardly they display traits of both pantherine, and felinid cat species, but a few internal attributes have led to them becoming known as Pantherines.

Physical differences between the genders, almost make the Pantherines appear as two seperate species. The men have much more of a large cat look to them with a very feline snout, while the women's faces retain a more human look with domestic cat features blended in. This is most noticeable in profile. The men are also much larger. Generaly between six and a half to seven and a half feet tall with a large stocky build, with the women generaly having a lean build and hovering around the six foot mark. The women also tend to be much more agile, but the men are by no means slow.

Uniform features among the Pantherines include the afore mentioned ability to to roar, as well as the ability to growl, and some limited purring. They have a fine fur (longer on forearms and calfs) that while providing protection from both the sun, and all but the coldest weather, does not preclude the need to wear clothes. It's not quite long enough for modesty's sake. They also benifit from heightened senses, and reflexes. Their tales are also prehensile, proving that despite their feline appearence, they are still primates. Pantherine muscle tissue is also much stronger than that of normal humans, though not enough to let them suspend themselves by their tales.

Pantherinism is a dominent trait, that exists only on the X chromosome. Offspring either are or aren't Pantherines. There are no hybrids. This is fairly common among Traveller victims.

Travellers:

A race of scientists who are more concerned with whether they can do something, and if they should do it, they have redisigned themselves by commitee. Though they've turned their emotions down via genetic enigineering, they still maintain both their scentific curiosity, and their sadistic sense of humor.
The Travellers jump from one quantum reality to another performing all manner of medical experiments on whatever sentient beings they find. These experiments include, but aren't limited to geneitc, cybernetic, psychological, and surgical techniques. They have no regard for any species but there own, and have found themselves at war with at least one race.

Travellers are genderless, and reproduce asexually. When they decide to birth an offspring, they go on a glutoneous eating spree. Once their bodies have sufficient fuel stored, reproductive organs roughly analogous to ovaries release an embryo, and it begins to develop. They have no birth canal, and the child is developed through a bizarre form of cessarean that their bodies can initiate on its own.

They are incapable of breathing the air for very long on Earths inhabited by humans. With so many unable to return to their native Earth, due to Technothrope attack, some have taken to genetic modification to overcome this problem. Forced to use human DNA for these changes, they invariably take on a female appearance. Certain features reamin pretty much uniform, most notably deep blue featureless eyes, mustard colored skin (or fur), and four arms

Technothropes:

Bio-mechanical constructs, Tecnothropes are not your average cyborg. Some people would use the term for any cyborg that's largely mechanical, true Technothropes' cybernetics are integrated at the cellular level.

Most Technothropes use a particualr brand of magic they call "technomancy" that makes extensive use of nanotech. Ironicaly this was developed on an Earth that has been reduced to steampunk level technology by an unexplained dark age. These "T-thropes" often appear to be less mechanical than they really are. Silicon based skin, still looks like skin.

Traveller Victims:

Still technically human, these peoples' bodies have been twisted in ways that often make it hard to tell. Not only are these people trying to come to grips with a loss of identity and often times bodies that are totaly alien to them, they also have to deal with a vocal group of bigots who refuse to recognize them as people. Called everything from freaks to sins against God and nature, they are under constant threat of bodily harm.

A few countries with remote unpopulated areas have offered to let them start new comunities where they don't have to worry about being injured or killed for something they never wanted, anyway. The global community has been asked to help subsidise the start of such a comunity, so far most countries have been hesitant to throw money toward such a controversial project that offers no return on investment. The Special Response Unit has been trying to help start the project at a donated location in the Austrian Alps, but the fledgling organization is suffering from budget problems.

Wyld:

The Wyld are therioantropes, natural born shapeshifters. All of the true werecreatures of the world are Wyld. The Wyld are humans, they're simply born with a mystic ability to become beast like at will. Their altered form is always much larger than their human form, and usualy bigger than the animal that they become like. (werebears are enormous) Altered forms are always based on predatory animals, and usualy land dwellers. The only exception to the last part being a race of rather amorous freshwater weredolphins known to live in South America. The weredolphins are also the only group of Wyld who's transformation does not result in an overgrown hybridization. They're physically indistinguishable from the dolphins who's form they borrow.

The Wyld believe that they were created to protect nature and all its creations (including people) from the dark forces that began to emerge eons ago. They take this job very seriously, and are actually part of the reason that people have begun to learn what kind of impact humans have the environment.

The Wyld have nothing to do with the various werecreature legends from around the world. (again with the exception of the weredolphins) Those legends are nearly always the result of necromantic shifters called Garou.  Alpha Garou can also shift at will, but they can inflict the changes on a third party, known as a beta Garou. Beta Garou shift whenever the alpha chooses, and also frequently when the moon is in the face they cursed during. The bite of a Wyld will cure a beta Garou, the alphas are killed on site. (this will also cure the beta) Garou tend to look much more like the animals who's charicteriestics they take on. Some Loupe Garou have been described as "Wolves with hands" while shifted.

The most common type of Wyld are the werewolves, who call themselves Fenry. The Fenry have an undeserved reputation among the other Wyld as being arrogant. The truth is, any self absorbed Fenris is quickly taught humility by the next nearest Fenris. The Fenry have an unusualy heavy build considering the structure of normal wolves. They claim to be descended from dire wolf stock.

There is a small group of Fenry called Dragons, who can trace their lineage back the same blood line as Vlad III of Wallachia. Dragons aren't real keen on all the Dracula vampire stories.

Morphies:

Often mistaken as traveller victims, Morphies are actually the product of mystical metamorphosis. This is not always a voluntary transformation, sometimes there isn't even any control of the transformation. It's not uncommon for two or more people to become combined into a multi headed creation in these transformations. In such cases, the new form is almost always based off of only one person's body. Minds and personalities are not combined, and all people involved are still distinct individuals. They simply share a single body. How much of that body any one controls varies by case. Seperation has so far proven impossible, even when attempted by the most skilled of wizards. Such a combination is known as a morph marriage.
